An occupancy agreement forms part of your accommodation offer. The agreement sets out the obligations and expectations for both the University and the Resident.
By accepting your accommodation offer you are agreeing to the terms and conditions outlined in the occupancy agreement, and the residential handbook.
The occupancy agreement is a legal contract between you and the University. If you are unsure of any of the content please seek independent advice or contact us for further clarification.
If you are considering cancelling or terminating your occupancy agreement, please carefully read the terms and conditions of your agreement as well as the residential handbook to understand the process. You can also contact your Residence to find out more.
Occupancy Agreement
The following occupancy agreements describe the terms and conditions for living in our Residences.
Contract Dates 2024
Contract start dates vary between residences, generally they will start from early February and depend on which location you are being offered as to what the start date is. Your start date will be outlined in your offer email.
If you are planning on arriving early, please contact the Residence directly and they can help you with a contract variation. This will then allow you to move in (provided they have the room ready and available) before the official contract start date. Please be reminded that if you do check-in early that you will be required to pay rent from the new move in date.
If you plan to arrive after the contract start date, please do let the Residence know of your planned arrival date, noting that you are still required to make payment from the start date on your contract.
