Please see the table below to determine the minimum indicative score you will need to achieve to be considered for undergraduate degrees at ANU.
At a minimum, all applicants must meet program-specific academic/non-academic requirements, and English language requirements. Please refer to Programs and Courses for the most up-to date admission requirements for your preferred program. Admission to some ANU programs is on a competitive basis. Therefore, meeting all admission requirements does not guarantee entry into the program.

Awarded by the Council for Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE).
Average from marks in English and best 3 externally examined subjects.
Applicants who have completed the Indian Higher Secondary School Certificate, in one of the following states, will also be assessed based on the above schedule.
- Higher Secondary Certificate Examination – Maharashtra
- Second Year Pre-University Examination – Karnataka
- Higher Secondary Certificate Examination – Tamil Nadu
- Intermediate Public Examination – Andhra Pradesh
- Higher Secondary Examination – West Bengal
All other states must achieve an indicative score of 99 to attain an ANU rank of 80.
