About this event

Part of the event series: Open day

Speaker:

Dr Caroline Schuster

Join us for a picnic and workshop on anthropology and planetary futures. We will discuss the impacts of planetary crises – environmental, financial, political, and health – on a basic human need: the food we eat. We’ll sample some foods such as sesame that have been recast as ‘climate warriors’ and discuss how this impacts real people, from farmers to consumers. We also will share biological anthropology research on the link between natural disasters and human health.

**GF, dairy-free, and non-nut options available
