To understand the present, we need to look at the past. Dive into History at ANU and discover the contemporary relevance of historical studies. The School of History offers courses in a wide range of areas from various perspectives. Themes covered include war, revolution, empire, slavery, religion, immigration, race, ethnicity, gender, sexuality, and film. The time span ranges from the ancient world to the present, and the regions included in our courses are Australia, Asia, Europe, and North America.
