You’ve already taken the exciting step of applying – now we invite you (and a parent or caregiver) to experience what it’s really like to be an ANU student. Meet current students and staff, explore our vibrant campus, and get answers to your questions about next steps, programs, accommodation, and support.

You’ll connect with other future students who could soon be your classmates, find out what to expect in your first year, and get a feel for the people and places that make ANU so unique.

Whether you're comparing options or just keen to learn more, ANU – Your Place gives you a deeper look into what your journey could look like here – and how we’ll support you every step of the way.

Venue

ANU – Your Place will be held in the Marie Reay Teaching Centre, our purpose built teaching and learning facility in Kambri - the heart of our university.

What to bring

You and your curiosity! You will have an opportunity to engage with ANU staff and students about your application, interests and uni life. Come prepared with questions!

We will provide light refreshments. If you’re keen to explore campus, bring along a drink bottle, sun protection and comfortable walking shoes.

Take a campus tour

Join a tour of our leafy campus and discover the places you will be living and learning. General campus tours will be running at 10.30am, 11.30am and 3pm.

Take a tour of a student residential hall from 3pm.

Parking

Undercover parking is available in Kambri and is free for the first 3 hours. Surface parking is also available and free on weekends, with spaces on North Road and Fellows Road being a short walk from Marie Reay Teaching Centre.

Travelling to Canberra?

Why not make a weekend of it? ANU is located near the city, in close proximity to many accommodation options, attractions and food! Take a walk in the beautiful Botanic Gardens, visit the National Museum or explore the foodie suburb of Braddon. Check out the Visit Canberra website for upcoming events.

Need somewhere to stay? Our friends at Canberra Accommodation Centre are offering discounted rates to attendees of ANU-Your Place. Contact reception on 1800 317 537 or 0456 005 908 and mention ANU Sept event or ANU Dec event when booking to have your discount applied.
