Before Open Day

Do I need to register for Open Day?

Yes, we recommend registering to attend Open Day. You can plan your day and receive the latest event updates. We recommend that you register before 29 March.

Does registration give me access to scheduled activities?

Yes, registering for Open Day will give you access to scheduled activities. You do not need to register separately. However, seats may be limited and are allocated on a first-come basis.

I have accessibility requirements. Will I be able to get support if required?

Yes, our team will be available to assist you where needed. If you have specific requirements or further questions, please contact us at future.student@anu.edu.au.

I am interested in postgraduate study. Will there be information available?

Yes, there will be informational booths with representatives from academic areas available to answer your questions.

Travelling from interstate

I am not driving. Can I travel to Canberra another way?

Yes, you can travel to Canberra by bus, train, or air.

Where do I stay?

There are many accommodation options near ANU campus to suit any budget.

I am visiting Canberra for the weekend. What else can I do?

Canberra hosts many renowned and unique attractions and is a foodie wonderland. Check out Visit Canberra to find out what’s on. There’s something for everyone.

On the day

Can I get to Open Day by public transport?

Yes, there are bus stops adjacent to ANU campus along Barry Drive and Marcus Clarke St. ANU campus is also a short walk from the city and City West bus interchanges and the light rail.

Will there be parking available on ANU during Open Day?

Yes, there are many parking options at ANU. All outdoor parking areas and Baldessin parking station will be free of charge. Underground parking in the Kambri precinct is free for the first 3 hours.

How do I know where to go once I’m at Open Day?

Check out the activities on the Open Day website and find your favourites. Each activity will have a link to the campus map to help you navigate. You can also collect a program and map on arrival. Signage will help direct you, and our team will be available to assist.

Can I speak to someone about my study options?

Yes, information booths with representatives from academic areas will be available in the Marie Reay Teaching Centre.

Will there be information on support services and activities outside of study?

Yes, visit Manning Clark Hall in the Cultural Centre, Kambri, for information booths on ANU support services and activities outside of study, including ANU Sport.

Will I be able to see the facilities and accommodation?

Yes, campus and academic precinct tours will run throughout the day. Check the Open Day website for tour details. Accommodation buildings will also be open for tours, with a bus service available for easy access.

Who do I talk to if I need help on the day?

An information booth will be located in the Kambri precinct, and ANU staff across campus will be available to assist.

Can I get free Wi-Fi access on Open Day?

Yes, free Wi-Fi will be available. Login details will be provided in the program and on signage in Kambri.

Where can I get something to eat?

There are many food vendors in the Kambri precinct that will be open on the day.
