Applying to return to your residence

ANU Residential Division recognises our residents to be an integral part of the community a will be inviting all students currently living in one of our residences to apply to return to campus in 2024.

All of our residents will receive a unique link to the Accommodation Portal on 28 August 2023 with instructions on how to complete the application.

The portal will remain opened until 8 September 2023. We will not accept late applications. 

All outcomes will be released on 3 October 2023. Successful students will need to accept the offer by 9 October and pay acceptance fees by 1 December 2023. 

To be eligible to receive an offer as a returning resident:

• You must not have breached the Occupancy Agreement at any point during your stay;
• You must not be on disciplinary probation with the Residential Experience Division; and
• Your accommodation account must not be in high arrears.

If you are on probation as part of a Reasonable Adjustment Plan for Student Accommodation (RAP-SA), this will be assessed as part of your application and whether you have met the agreed terms of your RAP-SA.  You may also be asked to agree to a RAP-SA for 2024 as part of your eligibility to return.

Your place in ANU accommodation for 2024 is not fully secured until you have accepted your offer and paid all acceptance fees detailed in the offer, and within the published deadlines.

For returning residents, the acceptance fees will include two weeks' rent and the resident's committee fee. 

Please be aware that submitting an application does not guarantee that you will receive an offer to return. Due to the exceptionally high demand for our residences, it may not always be possible to accommodate every applicant and the amount of available spots for returning residents is limited.
