About this scholarship
Each year, the University offers a Re-entry Scholarship for graduates who wish to resume academic studies after a break of at least three years since formal enrolment in a university program, the break normally being due to fulfilment of family obligations.

Eligibility
- Resuming academic studies after a break of at least three years since formal enrolment in a university program - the break normally being due to fulfilment of family obligations
- Bachelors degree with at least upper second-class honours, or a Masters degree with a research component or equivalent
- Australian and New Zealand citizens; Permanent residents of Australia

- Travel and removal allowances for students relocating to Canberra to commence their research program
- Thesis allowance
- Paid medical, maternity and paternity leave
Applicants are required to apply for admission prior to applying for this scholarship.
Applicants are required to submit a statement by 18 November setting out their case for award of the scholarship and indicating their circumstances in regards to the reasons behind taking a break from their studies. Applications should be emailed to hdr.candidature@anu.edu.au with ANU Re-Entry PhD Scholarship in the email title.
