About this scholarship

Each year, the University offers a Re-entry Scholarship for graduates who wish to resume academic studies after a break of at least three years since formal enrolment in a university program, the break normally being due to fulfilment of family obligations.

Eligibility

Resuming academic studies after a break of at least three years since formal enrolment in a university program - the break normally being due to fulfilment of family obligations
Bachelors degree with at least upper second-class honours, or a Masters degree with a research component or equivalent
Australian and New Zealand citizens; Permanent residents of Australia

Travel and removal allowances for students relocating to Canberra to commence their research program
Thesis allowance
Paid medical, maternity and paternity leave

Applicants are required to apply for admission prior to applying for this scholarship.

Applicants are required to submit a statement by 18 November setting out their case for award of the scholarship and indicating their circumstances in regards to the reasons behind taking a break from their studies.
