About this scholarship
Each year the School of Cybernetics within the ANU College of Systems and Society may offer an award known as The Bill Hickson & Engineers Australia Scholarship for the Master of Applied Cybernetics.
The objective of the Award is to support and provide funding for a domestic or international candidate who is eligible for membership of the Institution of Engineers Australia to enable them to study either the Master of Applied Cybernetics or the Master of Applied Cybernetics (Advanced), both offered by the School of Cybernetics.
Funding for this Award has been provided by Engineers Australia on behalf of the estate of the late Bill Hickson.

Eligibility
The Award is available each year to a commencing ANU student who:
- is a domestic student or international student;
- has received an offer of admission to one of the following programs offered by the School of Cybernetics within the ANU College of Systems and Society:
- Master of Applied Cybernetics (MACYB), or
- Master of Applied Cybernetics (Advanced) (VACYB); and
- is eligible for membership with Engineers Australia.
Additional information
The value of the Award is stated in your letter of offer. The Award is valid for the duration of the program. The Award is paid in fortnightly instalments for the duration of the program unless otherwise stated in the letter of offer.
The recipient is responsible for making payment of all tuition fees by the prescribed date as set out by the University each session. Recipients of the Award are responsible for the costs of books, study materials, accommodation and all other costs of study.
There is no application as students are automatically considered based on them meeting the eligibility criteria or conditions prescribed under the Eligibility section.
