Each year ANU School of Music in ANU College of Arts & Social Sciences may offer the Crompton Undergraduate Scholarships with the aim of supporting first year undergraduate students at the School in keyboard.
Funding for this award has been provided by the Crompton endowment and the donation of Mr Noel Bland. Emeritus Professor Robert Crompton and the late Mrs Helen Crompton held a long-standing connection with ANU School of Music and the wider Canberra community.

Academic meritThe award is available each year to a prospective ANU student who:
Selection is made on the basis of applicants meeting the eligibility criteria. In addition, the successful candidate will be the applicant who, in the judgement of the committee, is deemed to display an outstanding level of musical ability and accomplishment in musical performance, as demonstrated at audition.
The Scholarship provides a payment of $5,000 paid in equal instalments after the census date in each semester of the first year of the undergraduate degree.
All applicants applying for admission through the ANU Admission Scholarship and Accommodation (ASA) Application System will be automatically considered for the award based on them meeting the eligibility criteria and electing to be considered for scholarships.
For International students and domestic students not applying via ASA, there is no separate scholarship application as students are automatically considered based on their meeting the eligibility criteria.
