About this scholarship
The Tjabal Indigenous Higher Education Centre in conjunction with the Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation (CSIRO) is pleased to offer an award known as the CSIRO Indigenous STEM Scholarship with the aim of supporting further engagement with Science, Technology, Engineering & Mathematics (STEM) amongst Indigenous Australians and to provide financial support to overcome obstacles to education as well as an opportunity to engage with the CSIRO and build a relationship and pathway into a career in STEM.
Field of study
Any Science, Technology, Engineering or Maths (STEM) related undergraduate degree program. Clinical, Health and Human Sciences will be considered, but STEM courses will remain a priority.

The Award is available each year to a continuing ANU student who:
- is a domestic student; and
- identifies as Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander; and
- is enrolled in any Science, Technology, Engineering or Maths (STEM) related undergraduate degree program. Clinical, Health and Human Sciences will be considered, but STEM courses will remain a priority.

- Your journey to University;
- How you developed a passion for STEM;
- How you connect to your culture through STEM, and how you hope to use STEM to positively impact your community and/or culture.

Additional information
The Scholarship is valued at $5,000 per annum for up to 4 years. The scholarship is paid at the beginning of each semester subject to the recipient meeting ongoing academic and enrolment requirements.
