About this scholarship

 

This supplementary scholarship is intended to supplement a scholarship or other university award for an outstanding PhD student in an energy-related field. The scholarship is provided by the ANU Institute for Climate, Energy and Disaster Solutions (ICEDS) with a view to fostering interdisciplinary research. The scholarship is available for award in 2024 for study from 2025.

Eligibility

 

The intended recipient of this grant will be a PhD student:

  • Who is currently enrolled in an energy-related PhD program at the ANU
  • Who has demonstrated H1 or H1 equivalence,
  • Who has been awarded, and continues to hold, an approved ANU HDR stipend scholarship at the minimum AGRTP base rate,
  • Who demonstrates exceptional research potential,
  • Who has demonstrated connections to related industry, business and/or other higher-education institutions, and
  • Can demonstrate potential for ICEDS’ collaboration in future research.

This supplementary scholarship will be awarded with consideration towards gender diversity and other aspects of diversity in energy-related fields.

Value: The value of the Award will be stated in the letter of offer. The Award will be paid in fortnightly instalments unless otherwise stated in the letter of offer. The recipient is responsible for making payment of all tuition fees by the prescribed date as set out by the University each session. Recipients of the Award are responsible for the costs of books, study materials, accommodation and all other costs of study.

  • Current Scholarship or University Award Letter;
  • A CV (maximum 2 pages); and
  • A completed Application Form.
