Every four years the ANU College of Law (‘the College’) may offer an award known as the George Witynski Scholarship (‘the Award’).
The objective of the Award is to support regional and remote students who want to attend the Australian National University to obtain an undergraduate Law degree. The Award aims to offset some of the financial burden of attendance at law school.
Funding for this Award has been provided by Mr Peter Lahy, in memory of ANU Alumnus Mr George Witynski.

To be recognised as a 'prospective' ANU student, applicants must begin their ANU studies in semester one of the year the award is being awarded. Students who started their ANU studies in semester two of the previous year will be deemed 'continuing' and therefore ineligible for the award.
Only one recipient can hold his award at any given time. Once the previous recipient has graduated or has exceeded the four year period, the ANU College of Law will open the applications for this award.
Please note that applicants need to conform to the University's concurrent scholarship position as outlined in clause 17 of the ANU Scholarship, grants and bursary (coursework) procedure. The total annual scholarship limit can be found here.
