About this scholarship
Each year the ANU College of Law, Governance and Policy may offer an award known as the Haydn Marsh Memorial Scholarship in Family Law.
The objective of the Award is to provide financial assistance to a law student, who has an interest in family law, during their last year of their program.
Funding for this Award has been provided by the law firm Farrar Gesini Dunn, in memory of Haydn Marsh, a lawyer of the firm and ANU alumnus who passed away in February 2023.

Eligibility
The Award is available each year to a continuing ANU student who (at the time of application):
- is a domestic or international student;
- is enrolled in one of the following programs at the ANU College of Law, Governance and Policy:
- Bachelor of Laws (Honours) as a single degree and has completed at least 138 units;
- Bachelor of Laws (Honours) as a Flexible Double Degree (FDD Law) and has completed at least 186 units;
- Juris Doctor and has completed at least 90 units;
- is enrolled in at least one law course for the study period they are applying for; and
- has completed LAWS4217/LAWS8417 Family Law.
Additional information
The value of the award is $5,000 per annum. The duration of the Award is for one year. The Award is paid in two equal instalments of $2,500, after the Census date of each semester, unless otherwise stated in the letter of offer.
The recipient is responsible for making payment of all tuition fees by the prescribed date as set out by the University each session. Recipients of the Award are responsible for the costs of books, study materials, accommodation and all other costs of study.
