About this scholarship
Each year, the Mathematical Sciences Institute (‘the School’) of the ANU College of Systems and Society may offer an award known as the Hilary Booth Scholarship (‘the Award’).
The objective of the Award is to honour the memory of Dr Hilary Booth who used her unique style to bring people together to achieve research objectives.
Funding for this Award has been provided by the interest on contributions from friends, colleagues and the ANU Endowment Fund in memory of Hilary Booth.

Eligibility
Awarded by the Mathematical Sciences Institute (MSI) to a student in the mathematical sciences entering the final honours year, or their third year with the intention of proceeding to an honours degree.
Selection
Selection is made on the basis of academic merit, however, preference may be given to applicants satisfying one or more of the following criteria:
- a student returning to study after a break from higher education
- a student not from the ANU
- an interest in mathematical biology.
