Each year the ANU College of Science (‘the College’) may offer an award known as the Jennifer Wanless and Elizabeth Bradford Scholarship (‘the Award’).
The objective of the Award is to support high achieving women to continue their undergraduate studies and work towards a major in the following STEM subjects: physics, earth sciences, astronomy, chemistry or mathematics.
Funding for this Award has been provided by the children of Jennifer Wanless including Professor Erica Wanless, Mr David Wanless and Professor Ian Wanless. Jennifer Wanless and Elizabeth Bradford became life-long friends having met during their studies at ANU: Jennifer completed a BA and Elizabeth became the first woman to complete a PhD in Physics at ANU (1962).
