About this scholarship

 

Each year the School of Music may offer an award known as the Michelle Foster Jazz Bursary (‘the Award’).

The objective of the Award is to provide equity funding to music students to support their studies in jazz and contemporary performance.

Funding for this Award has been provided by the ANU Alumna Michelle Foster to further the education and professional development of jazz music students.

Eligibility

 

The Award is available each year to a commencing ANU student who:

  • is a domestic student; and
  • is enrolled in the Bachelor of Music offered by the School, majoring in Jazz & Contemporary Performance; and
  • is eligible for and receives adjustment factors for financial hardship under the National Access Scheme (NAS); and
  • has received a final score of 70 or above at their performance audition.

Additional information

 

$1,000 paid in a one-off payment upon acceptance of the Award.

The application is submitted on the prescribed form. Any requirement for supporting documentation and forwarding details will be stated on the application form and/or ANU Scholarships website. The application and all supporting documentation (where applicable) must be submitted on or prior to the closing date.
