About this scholarship
Each year, the School of Medicine and Psychology within the ANU College of Science and Medicine may offer an award known as the National Indigenous Scholarship for Medicine.
The objective of the Award is to assist Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander students to undertake the Doctor of Medicine and Surgery (8950XMCHD) program at the Australian National University ('ANU').
Funding for this Award has been provided by the Tjabal Indigenous Higher Education Centre.

Eligibility
The Scholarship shall be available for award to a student who:
- is an Australian citizen; and
- is Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander; and
- identifies as an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander person; and
- is accepted as such by the community in which they live, or formerly lived; and
- has been offered a place or is currently enrolled in the Doctor of Medicine and Surgery (8950XMCHD) program at the ANU.

The duration of the award is up to 4 years. The award is paid in two instalments at the beginning of each semester unless otherwise stated in the letter of offer
There is no application as students are automatically considered based on them meeting the eligibility criteria or conditions prescribed under the Eligibility section.
