About this scholarship
Each year the Department of International Relations in the ANU College of Asia & the Pacific may award up to two Ruth Dobson Scholarships to attract the highest achieving students for the advancement of Diplomatic Studies.
The scholarship has been established to commemorate Australia's first female career diplomat to be an Australian ambassador, Miss Ruth Dobson.

Eligibility
The Scholarship is available to an applicant who:
- is an international or domestic student;
- is enrolling in the Master of Diplomacy graduate coursework degree program;
- has achieved a GPA of 6 (out of 7) in their undergraduate degree.
Selection
Selection is made on the basis of strength of case for a scholarship, references and academic merit.
Additional information
The Scholarship provides a tuition fee sponsorship for up to 96 units of the program. The award is paid directly towards the student's tuition fees each semester.
Students wishing to be considered for the scholarship are required to submit:
- A cover letter indicating your interest in being considered for the scholarship and making the case for being granted one; and
- A Curriculum Vitae.
