About this scholarship

 

Each semester, the ANU College of Law, Governance and Policy may offer 4x $500 gift voucher known as the Squire Patton Boggs Bursary.

The objective of the Award is to provide financial assistance to ANU College of Law, Governance and Policy students who are experiencing financial hardship whilst they are studying at ANU, and to assist with the cost of day-to-day expenses of essential items, such as food and hygienic items.

Funding for this Award has been provided by the law firm Squire Patton Boggs.

Eligibility

 

The Award is available each semester to a continuing ANU student who:

  1. is a domestic or international student; and
  2. is enrolled in one of the following programs at the ANU College of Law, Governance and Policy
    • Bachelor of Laws (Honours) - single or flexible double degree
    • Juris Doctor
    • Master of Laws
    • Graduate Certificate of Law
    • Graduate Certificate of New Technologies Law
    • Master of Financial Management and Law
    • Master of International Law and Diplomacy; and
  3. is enrolled in a law course for the study period they are applying for; and
  4. is able to demonstrate financial hardship.

Additional information

 

Successful applicants will receive a $500 gift voucher for Aldi Supermarkets.

Unless otherwise stated in the letter of offer, the gift vouchers are provided to success applicants upon accepting the offer.

The College uses the National Debt Helpline’s definition of financial hardship as the basis for assessment:

"You are in financial hardship if you have difficulty paying your bills and repayments on your loans and debts when they are due."
