The ANU Accommodation Bursary is designed to assist full time ANU students, established in permanent accommodation, who are experiencing unexpected financial hardship. Priority may be given to students nearing the end of their studies and needing assistance to complete. All applications are considered by a committee. Lodging an application does not guarantee a bursary will be awarded. Bursaries provide temporary assistance and should not be regarded as on-going aid.
Applications are assessed and awarded at the discretion of the Committee.The Committee will determine the amount of any bursary granted dependent upon assessment of the student's need and the availability of funds.
Emergency Undergraduate Accommodation Bursaries are granted for up to a maximum of 20 weeks (per application/per half year) Undergraduate Students are not eligible to receive more than 40 weeks of bursary assistance over the course of their graduate studies.
Bursaries granted to students living in an ANU Hall or affiliated residence will be paid directly to the residence to offset the student's rent account.
