If you’re planning on staying in Canberra over the summer break, we would love to have you stay with us on campus. We have short-term summer accommodation available from Friday 18 December 2026 until Friday 5 February 2027.
Who can stay?
Summer accommodation is open to the ANU community and students studying at other universities.

- Current and future residents
- Students studying at other universities
- Visiting fellows and academics
- ANU alumni
How to book
Bookings for summer accommodation will open from Tuesday 6 October 2026.
You can apply through the accommodation portal.
Residences and room rates
Bruce Hall Main Wing and Fenner Hall are open over summer for a minimum stay of three nights. Payment can be made at reception upon arrival. If you are not an ANU student, a refundable bond of $500 is required.

Current residents
Residents who would like to stay in their current residence for an additional day or two can request a contract extension up until Sunday 20 December 2026. If you would like to stay for longer, you will need to move to summer accommodation.
Contract extensions are not available to residents at Bruce Hall Packard Wing or ANU Lodges.
The following residences will remain open over summer for existing residents only.

- Ursula Hall Laurus Wing
- Toad Hall
- Graduate House
Residents of these residences will be able to stay at their residence, or apply to move to Bruce Hall or Fenner Hall, over summer. You will still need to apply for summer accommodation if you are staying beyond your contract period. Please note that your same room cannot be guaranteed.
Residents of all other residences can apply for summer accommodation at Bruce Hall Main Wing or Fenner Hall.
