Transferring to ANU

studentsTransferring between universities is almost the same as applying for the first time.

If you have completed part of a degree or courses at another university, and you would like to complete the rest of your degree at ANU, then you should follow these steps.

Step 1: Find your degree at ANU

First, you should explore the degree options available at ANU by visiting the Programs & Courses website.

You should check the course requirements, prerequisites, and degree structure before you apply.

If you have questions about our degrees, please contact the ANU College responsible for the program.

Step 2: Apply

To apply, please follow the standard application steps for your degree.

Step 3: Apply for credit for prior study

If you receive and accept an offer, it is possible to apply for credit for your previous studies. You should submit your credit request when you arrive at ANU to enrol in your program.

Please note that credit assessment is at the discretion of the ANU College responsible for your degree, and it may not be possible to receive credit for all courses.

Requests for credit and exemptions should be submitted as described on the advisory page listed below.
