About this scholarship
Each year the Australian National University (‘the University’) may offer up to five awards known as the Unilodge Australia Scholarship (‘the Award’).
The objective of the Award is to support domestic undergraduate school-leavers from lower socio-economic backgrounds enrolling in a course of study at the Australian National University.
Funding for this Award has been provided by UniLodge Australia Pty Ltd. as part of the ANU Support Australia’s Students Campaign.

Eligibility
The award is available each year to a commencing ANU student who:
- is a domestic student;
- is a current school leaver in Australia at an Australian High School (or College); and
- is eligible for National Access Scheme adjustment factors.
Selection
Selection is made on the basis of applicants meeting the eligibility criteria. Additional factors may be taken into account and may include, but are not limited to (in order of priority):
- identifies as Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander;
- is experiencing financial hardship (in order of severity); and
- Remoteness at time of application as determined by the geographical classification defined by the Australian Statistical Geography Standard – ASGS 2021. Priority will be given, in order of preference to students that are:
- very remote,
- remote, and
- outer regional areas.
In the situation where multiple students meet the above priority groups, selection will be then based on academic merit.
Additional information
The scholarship offfers a stipend of $8,000 per year for up to 5 years paid in equal instalments at the beginning of each semester.
